About Us

We are a semi‑retired couple with a lifelong love for animals, and we truly can’t imagine our home without them. Caring for our dogs and raising puppies has become a joyful part of our everyday life. It’s a family affair here—our grandchildren are frequent visitors, and nothing delights them more than spending time playing with the puppies and helping them grow into confident, well‑socialized little companions.

I grew up with a German Shepherd and a cat.  When I married my husband, I had to make some changes as he is allergic to cats and most dogs.

We decided on a Labrador Retriever as he wanted a full-size dog.  We had Taz for 11 years.  After that, I no longer wanted a lab as I wasn't a fan of all the shedding.  My husband still wanted a full-size dog.  We first tried a golden doodle; he was allergic.  Next, we tried a pure standard poodle.  To our surprise, the temperament was very similar to that of our Labrador Retriever.   The poodle had an incredible zest for life. She excelled at tracking and hunting and was always eager for the next adventure—whether it was a car ride, a camping trip, or a long hike. Her playful nature shone through in everything she did, especially when it came to fetch, her all‑time favourite game. She greeted everyone with warmth and friendliness, making her a joy to be around. And as a bonus, she didn’t shed, making her the perfect companion in every way.

Because we love our poodle so much, and had a very difficult time finding one, we decided to breed them and share our love of poodles with other families.

Over the years, we have worked hard to get lines that include Championships as good conformation is important to us.  It is also important to us that the puppies are healthy, so we also OFA and DNA test our adult dogs for the poodle panel to ensure they are healthy.  Another DNA test we do with our dogs is the VGL diversity test.  This is to ensure the dogs bred are not related.  When dogs are too closely related, you can end up with some temperament issues.

We have one to two litters a year.  Our puppies are lovingly raised in our home.  We use the socialization techniques from Pat Hastings, as well as ENS (early neurological stimulation exercises) that start on day three. We also do Puppy Culture and ESI (early scent introduction) exercises.
